Sell your data · What they want
What kinds of business data do AI companies want?
Short answer: AI companies want records of real work: operations logs, work orders, quotes, invoices, orders, contracts, designs and business email. Ten years of history says far more than one. The more a record shows how a decision was made, the more useful it is. Personal details always come out first.
Common examples by industry
- Transportation and logistics: loads, lanes, rates, dispatch notes, carrier communications.
- Manufacturing and consumer products: specs, designs, line sheets, purchase orders, licensing terms.
- Trades and home services: job tickets, estimates, photos, schedules, follow-ups.
- Professional services: engagement records, templates, workflows (with client details removed).
- Healthcare and wellness: only fully de-identified operational data, never patient records.
What usually can't be sold
- Anything that identifies a customer, patient or employee and can't be removed.
- Data you only hold on behalf of a client under a contract that forbids it.
Questions
Does it have to be digital?
Digital is far easier. Paper records can sometimes be scanned and used, but it adds work.
Do I need to clean it up first?
No. Tell us what you have, and we'll say what needs doing.
